Don’t Quit When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As every one of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don’t give up though the pace seems slow– You may succeed with another blow. Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up, When he might have captured the victor’s cup, And he learned too late when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out– The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit– It’s when things seem worst that you mustn’t quit. - Edgar A Guest

Day Light Savings Tent Service On Sunday, March 9th, our time will “spring ahead” and we will be meeting at 10 a.m. in our tent for a combined worship service. One of our members will be sharing his story with the congregation. Please remember to bring your lawn chairs and friends. There will be no Bible classes that day.

Clean-Up Before you leave the auditorium, please look around your area for anything you may be leaving behind and please toss trash in one of the trash receptacles. There’s a large one just inside the kitchen door.

Recycling Dumpster For our newest members who may not be aware, we have a big blue dumpster in the SW corner of our parking lot for recycling paper. Only paper—newspapers, books, binders, file folders, phone books— all things paper! We help save some trees and earn a little money. So bring your paper (no plastic bags). If you’ve saved your paper in a plastic bag, please shake the paper out and keep the bag for the next time.

Good Morning, Lord

Teachers Needed for Spring Quarter (March, April and May) Wednesday Night

You are ushering in another day Untouched and freshly new. So here I come to ask You, God, If you’ll renew me too. Forgive the many errors That I made yesterday And let me try again, dear God, To walk closer in your way . . . But, Father, I am well aware I can’t make it on my own . . . So take my hand and hold it tight For I can’t walk alone.

We are in need of teachers for the 4 & 5 year-old class and for the 6 & 7 year-old class. If you can help with teaching either of these age groups, please see Virginia Thurman.

Attitude By Charles Swindoll “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company . . . a church . . . a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past . . . We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude . . . I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you . . . We are in charge of our attitudes.”
