DRWC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 6, 2017 MINUTES A meeting of the DRWC Executive Committee was held on July 6, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at DRWC located at 121 North Columbus Boulevard pursuant to notice duly given under the by-laws of the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act. Attending: Alan Hoffmann (telephonically), Anne Fadullon, Jay Goldstein, Marilyn Jordan Taylor (telephonically), Ellen Yin Vice Chair, Jay Goldstein chaired the meeting since Alan Hoffmann was participating telephonically. The minutes of the June 1, 2017 Executive Committee meeting were approved as submitted. Rinku Modi informed the committee that the FY’18 budget was being prepared and a meeting of the budget committee consisting of Alan Hoffmann and Jay Goldstein was scheduled for Monday, July 17th. Joe Forkin presented a resolution authorizing himself, Rinku Modi, Jodie Milkman and Lavelle Young as authorized signatories for current and future bank accounts. A motion was made seconded and approved. Mr. Forkin then presented a resolution removing Thomas Corcoran, re-authorizing himself and Rinku Modi, and adding Jodie Milkman as authorized trustees of DRWC’s retirement plans. A motion was made, seconded and approved. Jodie Milkman reported that the annual Promenade was a success and met budget goals. She then thanked Ellen Yin for all of her hard work. She added that the Midway at Summerfest opened on June 22nd and was very well received. She informed the committee of the celebrations scheduled for Independence Day with concerts by the Philadelphia Orchestra and the US Army Band, Pershing’s Own, with fireworks on each evening. She also updated the committee on the summer youth programs including The William R. Miller Urban Youth Activities Fund. Joe Forkin informed the committee that a meeting with the consultants for the planning of the Penn’s Landing project took place the week prior. He added that meetings have been scheduled for the last Thursday of every month. In response to a question from Alan Hoffmann, he stated that Pennoni Associates is the lead consultant. Karen Thompson reported on the Northern Trail Segment stating that final approval was received from the Art Commission and the Historical Commission. She further reported that the project was out for public bid and that a contractor selection was on schedule for the Board of Directors meeting in July. Joe Forkin reported that the Race Street Connect Phase II is near completion and on schedule for a fall opening.

Mr. Forkin reported on the Waterfront Arts Grant and said that the first meeting of the consultants took place. He added that they are scheduled to hold an open house at Spruce Street Harbor Park collecting information on July 15th from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Forkin reported that the Cherry Street Pier project received approval from the Architectural Committee of the Art Commission and that plans are underway to schedule a community engagement event in the pier. The committee then went into executive session. Upon resuming open session, the meeting was then open to public comment. There being no public comment, the meeting was adjourned.
