Dublin Little League Team Parent Duties Check Off List
First of all, thank you for your help and support. Your role in the team is very important for a fun season and for the league to run smoothly! If you have any questions along the way, don't hesitate to contact your Team Parent Coordinator Stephanie Moreno at
[email protected] Team Parent in charge to email families with any forms received. Talk one on one with your team’s Manager regarding what his expectations are regarding your role. Some Managers like to send emails to the players parent themselves and some don’t. So determine the communication expectation. Obtain emails and names of all your team’s families. Email your families introducing yourself and if you have a co-team parent, introduce them as well. Given them all your contact information. You will be the major contact between your Manager, Coaches, families and the DLL board! We will be periodically sending you information to pass on to your families reminding them of important dates and events. You may want to think about creating a website to share information, schedule games and practices (Shutterfly.com has been working great over the years) You will be in charge of collecting money within your team for trophies, hat embroideries, end of season party and coaches gifts (Completely optional and per team decision only) Direct your families to the DLL website: http://dublinll.org. All the information the families will need will be on the website. Volunteer information will be under the “Volunteer” tab and all other information will be under the “Parent Information” tab. Remind your families that there will be 12 hours of volunteer time required from each family in order to receive their volunteer deposit back. Please forward them the form letting them know what duties fulfill those hours. THERE CAN ONLY BE TWO ASSISTANT COACHES AND TWO TEAM PARENTS PER TEAM. These individuals automatically get their deposits back but must complete a Volunteer Application which will be emailed to you. In the lower divisions, if families are on the field helping during the games, that DOESN’T count towards volunteer hour fulfillment. SNACKBAR VOLUNTEERS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM ALL DIVISIONS.
