Dunlap Eagles Tennis Camp 2015
Dunlap Eagles Tennis Camp 2015 Directed by Dunlap High School Men’s and Women’s tennis coaching staff – Head Coach, Pat Gornik and Assistant Coach, Bryan Zowin – as well as current and past Dunlap tennis players. Coach Gornik has been with Dunlap High School since 2008. He has led the Women’s tennis team for the past 7 seasons, with 21 individuals qualifying for the IHSA state tennis tournament and 22 players being named to Mid-Illini All-Conference teams. Coach Gornik has been associated with the boys program for the past 7 seasons, serving as the assistant coach for 4 years before taking over the varsity team in 2012. Coach Zowin has been with the Eagles tennis teams since 2012-13. Coach Zowin played collegiate tennis at University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and was the top finisher in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In addition to his collegiate experience, Coach Zowin is a former USPTA tennis teaching professional and currently instructs at River City Athletic Club in Peoria.
The Dunlap Eagles Summer Tennis program will include intensive instruction on the fundamentals of tennis including: ground strokes, volleys, overheads, serves, proper footwork and positioning. For the more advance players, the program will also include point strategy….AND for all of the students we will be promoting FUN, while learning and improving!!!
Personal racquet is requested for all classes. Group lessons with no more than 6 students per court. 3 Separate Sessions. Registration due by May 27th to Guarantee Camp Shirt Campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions.
1st SESSION - Monday, June 15th – Friday, June 19th : $60 registration fee ($50 for GDTA members). 2nd SESSION – Monday, June 22rd – Friday, June 26th: $60 registration fee ($50 for GDTA members) 3rd SESSION – Monday, July 6th – Friday, July 10th : $60 registration fee ($50 for GDTA members) 1st – 3rd grade – 8:30-9:30am 4th – 6th grade – 9:45-10:45am 7th – 9th grade – 11-12:00pm
