Your Guide to Online Enrollment A step-by-step guide to making changes online during Open Enrollment using ARBenefits.org
Enrolling Online • During Open Enrollment, employees have the option to enroll, cancel, or make changes to their coverage online by logging into their account at ARBenefits.org. • Making changes online instead of using fax or mail, will give employees instant confirmation that their application was received by EBD. • Should employees need assistance with their login information, they can call Member Services at 1-877-8151017x1 or send an email to
[email protected] • If you do not wish to make any changes to your current plan, you do not have to submit anything to EBD. Your current plan will roll over to 2017.
ARBenefits.org To begin the online enrollment process, go to www.ARBenefits.org and click the login box on the right. Then enter your user name and password. Contact EBD if you need assistance retrieving you login information.
After Logging In to ARBenefits After you login to your account, you will see this front screen. To access the enrollment options, click on the Manage Benefits tab.
Electing a Change After selecting the Manage Benefits tab, the next page will ask what type of change you would like to make to your plan. Your options are to enroll/change your current plan, or you can select to cancel your coverage.
During Open Enrollment, the dates shown on this page will show 01/01/2017 to correspond to the start of a new plan year.
Enrolling a Spouse Should you select to enroll/make changes to your current plan, you will be asked if you would like to enroll a spouse and/or children. If you would like to enroll a spouse, enter the corresponding information in the fields below.
If you do not wish to enroll a spouse or child at this time, you can select the Plan Options tab to Continue.
Enrolling Children If you would like to enroll a child, make sure to mark the yes option and enter the corresponding information in the fields below.
Plan Options The plan options page will give you the chance to select what plan level you would like for the upcoming year (Premium, Classic or Basic). Based upon your selections your monthly rate to the right of each plan. The rates below are the 2016 ASE Employee Only rates, and is just an example. During Open Enrollment, the rates for 2017 will be displayed. All rates are displayed without the Wellness Discount factored in.
For PSE employees, EBD assumes your district contributes the established minimum. If your district contributes above that amount, your district can provide your final monthly rate.
Review and Documentation After selecting your options you will see this page with all your information and choices. Please review that the information is accurate. And check the box to agree to the terms and conditions. Depending on your elections to add a spouse or children, you may need to submit supporting documentation. You can attach documents at the bottom of the page. The next slide will contain more information.
Supporting Documentation If you are adding dependents to your plan, you can use the bottom portion of the page shown on the previous slide to attach documents to your application. You may also fax that documentation to EBD at 501-683-0983. However EBD must receive all supporting documentation by the end of the Open Enrollment period for your elections to be approved. Select Choose File, once you select the document click Attach. Repeat for all documents.
Cancelling your Coverage Should you choose to cancel your coverage, select the option on the page that was shown on slide five (5). You will then be taken to the page below that will display your current plan, as well what your last day insurance coverage will be. Once you review, select the box to accept the terms and conditions and click cancel coverage button at the bottom to complete your change.
Things to Remember • The online enrollment option will only be available during your group’s Open Enrollment period. • State Employees (September 1-15, 2016) • Public School Employees (October 1-15, 2016)
• Any changes must be made during your group’s Open Enrollment period. Elections will not be accepted prior to, or after that period. • Submission of elections to EBD is final, and you will not be able to make any more changes after your first submission. • All changes elected during Open Enrollment will go into effect on January 1, 2017.
