Understanding the Fees USA Hockey Membership Fees ($50) Elk River Youth Hockey Association (ERYHA) is a non-profit (501C) affiliate of both USA Hockey and Minnesota Hockey. As part of Minnesota Hockey, ERYHA has been organized into Minnesota Hockey District 10 where we participate alongside other local Northwest Suburb area associations [Full List Here]. As a member of the USA Hockey program, ERYHA enjoys several participation benefits including some of the following: • • • • •

World-class insurance coverage to provide peace-of-mind for all involved in the sport Subscription to USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey publication in the world Education program to ensure coaches have the most current material to assist players in reaching their full potential Instructional training, clinics and certification help ensure a consistent standard across the country Comprehensive safety program, including: • Commitment to research and development • USA Hockey SafeSport, an initiative dedicated to off-ice safety Exclusive offers from: • Professional hockey teams • Equipment manufacturers • Official partners of USA Hockey

ERYHA Membership Registration Fee (Based on USA Hockey Age-Levels) Skaters at every USA Hockey Participation Level (U8, U10, U12, U14) will pay different fees given the different participation-level guidelines. During the online checkout process at registration, parents will be presented with the option to either pay in full or to pay using an 8-installment payment plan with the first-two payments due at checkout and 6-additional scheduled payments due on the 1st of every month from August to February. This new approach allows parents to optionally spread the overall costs of hockey throughout the season.
ERYHA Team Fees (Based on Rostered Team) Upon team formation, and depending on the team level a player is rostered to (A, B, C), a skater may need to pay an additional ice fee accounting for the difference in ice-time cost that that level is allocated. During the online checkout process, parents will be presented with the option to either pay in full or to pay using a 4-month payment plan charged on the 15th of every month.
Fundraising Refundable Deposit In order to offset the costs of hockey, Elk River Youth Hockey runs an annual mandatory fundraising initiative. Each player must sell 6 $25 calendars which include raffle tickets. Each family must submit a postdated check for $150 dollars.
Volunteering Refundable Deposit As part of managing the operations side of our association, Elk River Youth Hockey counts on having volunteers involved in our hockey operations. Each family must submit a postdated check for $500 which is retuned or destroyed is a family’s volunteer hours are completed.
*ERYHA will retain $200 of registration fees for all registered players who request a refund after tryouts are complete, refund requests must be in writing to ERYHA Registrar: [email protected]
