What is sportsmanship?

Fundraiser pickup

According to Webster, sportsmanship is "fair play, respect for opponents, and the gracious behavior in winning and losing" Good Sportsmanship Good sportsmanship is when teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials treat each other with respect. Kids learn the basics of sportsmanship from the adults in their lives, especially their parents and their coaches. Kids who see adults behaving in a sportsmanlike way gradually come to understand that the real winners in sports are those who know how to persevere and to behave with dignity - whether they win or lose a game. This is one of the most difficult of life's lessons for kids to learn. Everyone wants to win the game, otherwise, why would we even play them. It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you win or lose that defines your sportsmanship.

If you sold Dairy Queen punch cards you may pick up your cards at the registration table today and next Saturday.

Pictures We were hoping to have the pictures back today, but they did not come in. We will have them at the fields for pickup next week during practice and during the tournament on Saturday.
