Fall Studios
Fun Fitness will engage your children in an active lifestyle with the instructors from Cliff Drysdale Tennis! Children will participate in many team sports and physical games and activities. Children will keep physically fit while developing an interest in team and individual sports.
September 18 - November 9 (8 weeks)

Mondays: Soccer Shots (ages 3 –6) SMART (ages 6 - 12) Tuesdays: Chess (ages 6 - 12)
Registration and payment are due by Monday, September 11, 2017. Please bring your completed registration form and payment to the school; checks are to be made payable to Amelia Island Montessori School, (AIMS.)
Wednesdays: Nature Outside Your Window (ages 7 & Up)
Studios are on a space-available, first-come basis and subject to cancellation if minimum student participation is not met. Hurry to make your arrangements today. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun!

Engage your child in the beautiful game of soccer in a creative, ageappropriate, noncompetitive setting. Classes are taught by coaches who are passionate about working with children and about soccer. Soccer Shots are partners with or members of Adidas, US Soccer and NSCAA.

smART: Come join us for adventures in ART! smART classes will be a fusion of art education, appreciation, and history! Students will be engaged in creative thinking, knowledge retention, and an unique exposure to ART. Sparking interest within their artistic selves in a nurturing environment will create an opportunity for them to explore different mediums and learn various techniques. The curriculum will include painting, drawing, clay, and recycled Art projects. Come join the visual experience!

Chess: Engage your child in the game of chess. This studio will include instruction to teach the game of chess and provide fun informal competition.

Nature Outside Your Window on Amelia Island Amelia Island is home to a fascinating variety of wildlife...children in this studio will learn about creatures to avoid as well as creatures that may look scary but are harmless. Activities will include art projects, creative writing, games, outdoor nature exploration, discussions/projects developed to foster greater awareness and stewardship, and a deeper compassion and appreciation for the natural world.

Spanish Cultures Around the World Students will learn an appreciation for Spanish cultures on multiple continents through exposure to dance, cooking, and celebrations.

Poetry Tea Time Tea time offers a break from the fast-paced demands of life. Everyone sighs a collective “ahhh” as they settle into their chairs, tea cups in hand, and poetry books being flipped through on the table. Stopping the rush for a restorative beverage creates the perfect space to contemplate rhymes, riddles, limericks, and sonnets. When you pair poetry with tea, you create a connection between contemplation and rest while also creating memories of serenity and joy.
