Christmas Assistance Program Sponsorship Options & FAQ Thank you for your interest in joining us this year! SPONSORSHIP OPTIONS: “Giving Tree” Gift Tags – Our biggest need for toy donations and a great option for groups! This allows you to choose how many "gift tags" (one tag equals one child) you wish to sponsor. The tag lists the child's clothing sizes and toy suggestions. We ask that you purchase a clothing item and one toy for each child. You bring the items to our packing site, unwrapped, so we can pack up boxes for the families. How many tags should you take? As many as you think you can fulfill. If you do not fulfill them all it is ok, we will still provide gifts for those children.  Please complete a Sponsor Registration Form. Tags will be available week of Nov 13-17. Adopt a Family – We give you the entire family (you specify family size). We ask that you purchase a hat and gloves, outfit and at least one toy for each child. You would also provide the food or a gift card for the family's holiday meal. Gifts for the adults in the home are optional. Then you have the option of contacting the family yourselves and delivering the items.  Please complete a Sponsor Registration Form by Nov 6th to receive family matches the week of Nov 13-17. Final form deadline is Nov 27th for Dec 1st mailing. Adopt a Senior – A great opportunity to connect with a senior citizen in the community. Similar to "Adopt a Family", you are matched with a senior to provide them with a holiday meal and optional gift. You may purchase a gift card for the holiday meal or prepare the food for them and then deliver it to their home. Fills up fast!  Please complete a Sponsor Registration Form by Nov 6th to receive senior matches the week of Nov 13-17. Final form deadline is Nov 27th for Dec 1st mailing. General Toy Drive – We can use donations of any NEW toy or clothing items to provide to those children whose Giving Tree tags are unfulfilled. If none of the above options fit your group’s plans, you may hold a toy drive of your own and donate the items to us. Must be new, unused, unwrapped. Games, books, dolls, sports items, clothing (scarves, socks, hoodies, etc).  Please contact Melissa Snyder and inform us of your plans to donate. FAQ ON REVERSE

Christmas Assistance Program Sponsorship Options & FAQ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: What does it mean to provide an OUTFIT for a child through Adopt-a-Family? A: Please provide a shirt and bottom (pant, skirt, etc) at minimum. If desired you could also provide any of the following: socks, shoes, coat, underwear, accessories. We also ask you to provide a winter hat & gloves for each child. Q: Can you refrigerate or freeze perishable foods at your distribution site, the Harrisburg Military Post Armory? A: No. Please do not bring any perishable foods to our distribution site. We do not have reliable cold storage. Shelf stable items are welcome. Please provide a gift card to the family/senior to offset the purchase of their perishable items. Q: Why should I not wrap my Giving Tree gifts? (does not apply to Adopt-a-Family/Senior) A: Many reasons. We check and double check that the correct items get to the correct child. Many parents want to see what their children are receiving before the gifts are opened. Allowing parents to wrap the gifts allows for investment in the gift-giving process. This does not apply to Adopt-aFamily or Adopt-a-Senior because clients opt in to those programs and are made aware their gifts will be coming directly to them from a donor. Questions?
