Our Time Here The location was the first thing that attracted us to this property. It's a spacious estate with a great layout and a large pond, and in my opinion the nicest estate in Herne bay. It is near to schools, the train station and town, yet quiet and safe. We loved everything about the house, including its position in the estate next to the duck pond, and it was everything we were looking for at the time. We needed a larger family home and this spacious six-bedroom house certainly offered that! The layout of the house is really spacious and makes everyday family life/entertaining really easy. The downstairs has an open plan feel to it, but individual rooms do have their own doors that can be closed if you want to. The large kitchen with its breakfast bar is a great central social part of the house. The dining room leads straight out onto the back garden, which is a really lovely space and this extends out to the side. The double garage is a very versatile space that we have used as a games room with a pool table and a table-tennis table. The side of the house overlooks the large pond, which has been home to many ducklings in the 13 years we have been here. I also really love the master bedroom; it's a great place to escape to after a long day. Herne Bay is a nice little seaside town and the location here really is ideal. The house is close to plenty of schools including the highly respected Herne Bay High School, which is just a couple of minutes walk from the house. The town centre and seafront are only a ten minute walk away and the local train station is 5 minutes walk and offers services directly into London. Our two youngest children have grown up here, and it has been a very happy family home. We are now looking to downsize, but we know that we will miss the house very much. We hope to stay in the local area.
