8. Place your two fleece layers wrong sides together with the marked piece on top. Put safety pins in the two layers to keep them together. 9. Start your first embroidery in the center of the blanket. Hoop it according to the lines you have marked as accurately as possible. (You have to start with the design in the middle to avoid the excess fabric bulk.) Work your way from the center out to get a nice result. We did not use any stabilizer as the fleece was medium weight, however, if the fleece is softer you may consider hooping it with a water soluble stabilizer, then you can wash it away after finishing your embroidery as the quilt is reversible. 10. Re-hoop and embroider all the designs one by one according to the layout in the illustration.

Assembly instructions

11. Use Steam-A-Seam® on the ribbons to make it easy to sew them on to the fleece blanket. Cut Steam-A-Seam® in the same width and length as the ribbons. Hint: Due to ironing fleece which is sometimes a problem, a water soluble basting tape could be used instead of Steam-ASeam®. Try on a scrap piece before you decide. 12. Stick Steam-A-Seam® to the wrong side of the ribbons. Peel off remaining liner (leaving Steam-A-Seam on the ribbons).

27” (70cm ) 68” (170cm)

13. Place your ribbons on the front piece of your fleece blanket (see illustration with ribbons) placing the sticky side down. Iron on the ribbons to the fleece with low heat. Test a sample first to be sure your fleece can withstand the heat of the iron.

EMBROIDERY

1. Mark lines on one of your fleece blanket pieces according to illustration 1.You need center points on both horizontal and vertical lines. Mark the lines with your Pictogram Pen or stitch a basting stitch on the center lines in a contrasting color. (The basting stitch will be easy to pull out after you have finished your embroidery). 2. We have embroidered 27 quilt designs from the Husqvarna Viking® H CLASS™ 600E USB stick, see illustration. (Install your software and prepare your machine for embroidering according to the manual, Chapter 6.)
