Obituary Jerome Jewett Johnson Jr. “PJ” was born on June 12, 1971 to the late Vicky Faye Speed and Jerome Johnson Sr. He departed this life on February 16, 2018. “PJ” is a legend that will forever live on. He showed love to the world near and far. He had a heart big as the universe and was loved and admired by many. He was a loving dedicated husband and father. Family is/ was his everything. “PJ” had the “Need for Speed” he loved his motorcycles and race car. Anytime it was a pretty day, he was on the highway, riding! “J Team” was his Empire that will forever live on. He was preceded in heavenly transition by: his son, Jerome Johnson III “J3”; his mother, Vicky Speed; his maternal grandmother, Beulah G. Jackson; his grandfather, O.C. Johnson; uncle, Billy Wayne Jackson; uncle, Royal Pedro Swann; two aunts: Evangline Crews and Tilda M. Johnson; best friends, Jamie Fox and Sham Porter Hooker. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Preosha Johnson; two daughters, Mariah Edwards and London Johnson; one granddaughter, Jalaya Johnson; his father, Jerome Johnson Sr. (Sharon); stepfather, Bobby Speed; grandmother, Dollie Johnson; one sister, Darlene M. Blue (Vernon); three brothers, Tim Johnson (Jacqueline), Cedric Johnson and Eric Speed all of Sanford, NC; aunts, Marilyn V. Swann, Faith Jackson, Trudy Coggins and Freida Richards; uncles, Arthur (Donna) Swann, Tony Johnson, Tim Johnson, OC Johnson and Marshall McLean, Sr.; two nieces, Katleen and Kimberly; three nephews, Jerode, Timothy Johnson II, and Carter; one god daughter, Shamiah Petty and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
