FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Southwest Airlines Employee in Custody after Allegedly Stabbing Police Commissioner Suspect had legal run-ins with Police Commissioner before. Buffalo, NY (December 5, 2013) – Southwest Airlines employee David Ross, 25, of Cheektowaga is in custody after allegedly stabbing Cheektowaga Police Commissioner Donna Jones after an altercation at the customer service counter of Terminal 3 at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Mr. Ross was apprehended by fellow Southwest employees, who then turned him over to airport security. He is currently in federal custody with the FBI. Mr. Ross has been suspended without pay at this time, for the length of the investigation. Appropriate action will be taken pending further outcome. The investigation is ongoing with Southwest Airlines, and is also an FBI investigation. During this time all Southwest Airlines flights will continue as scheduled.
