2014 FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 2014 marks the 4th season for both the Girl’s and Boy’s Lacrosse Teams at Freedom High School and the 3rd year both Teams will compete as Varsity programs within the Lehigh Valley Conference. Freedom Lacrosse receives no funding from the school district and relies entirely on Player Dues and Fundraising to meet the Club’s budgeted obligations. MEMBER DUES  





Each Player must pay $200 in non-refundable Member Dues Payment is collected during Registration, which must be done on-line at: https://leagueathletics.com/Default.asp?org=freedomhighschoollacrosse o Payments can be made in up to 3 installments, depending upon the timing of your Registration o All Player Dues must be paid in full by December 31, 2013 o Credit Cards are accepted Players are strongly encouraged to re-coup their Member Dues outlay via the Club’s NEW Giant Card Fundraising Program o Players earn “LAX Dollars” by purchasing Giant Food Store gift cards from the Club at Face Value o Players sell gift cards to friends and family o Club earns 5% on every purchase and will credit Player (or Player’s Family) with 3% of every purchase Example: for every $100 in cards purchased, $2 will go to the Club and $3 will go into the Player’s LAX Dollars account o At the end of the Club’s fiscal year (June 30, 2014), a refund will be distributed for LAX Dollars earned up to the maximum amount paid into the Club for Registration, Winter League and/or Spirit Wear purchased via the Club website. Excess LAX Dollars will be rolled over towards next year’s Registration or other Club fees. US Lacrosse Membership is mandatory for individual Player and Club Insurance – costs are included in the Member Fees

MANDATORY FUNDRAISING Due to the nature of our non-profit status and having large financial obligations prior to and at the beginning of season, Fundraising is mandatory for all Players and must be paid up front.  Each Player must pay $250 for Fundraising  Payment is collected during Registration and must be paid in full by December 31, 2013  Players are strongly encouraged to re-coup their Fundraising outlay via the Club’s two established programs: o Raffle - Total possible reimbursement - $200  Each Player receives 20 - $10 tickets  Three prizes offered, drawing held at February 11, 2014 Club Meeting o Car Washes - Total possible reimbursement - $50  Each Player receives 10 - $5 pre-sell tickets (“day of” Car Wash sales - $7 per vehicle)  Club conducts 2 car washes in the spring  Players receive community service hours for Club-run Fundraising activities such as Car Wash, LAX Day and Santa Breakfast

EQUIPMENT In 2012, Freedom Lacrosse was awarded the US Lacrosse First Stick Grant and has received 36 sets of Field Equipment and 2 sets of Goalie Equipment per Team. Use of this equipment is free for our Players and is distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Indicate your need during on-line Registration. A deposit check is required at the time of distribution (will not be cashed)  Boys - $200 Deposit – helmet, pads, gloves and stick  Girls - $100 Deposit – stick and goggles

NOTE: Freedom Lacrosse Teams are managed just like any other Varsity Sport at FHS. Coaches make all decisions with regard to play. This is a “pay to participate”, not a “pay to play” organization.
