FRESHMEN

The 2016 football season is arriving quickly and the class of 2020 has a chance to continue the “Tradition of Success” of Hawk Football. The Laguna Hills program is one of the most successful programs in the south county. Our 3 CIF Titles, 13 League Championships and 19 playoff appearances in the past 25 years proves you can accomplish a lot in your time as a Hawk football player. 2016 is the beginning of a new chapter in Hawk Football. After 30 years at Laguna Hills High School and 18 as Head Football Coach Bruce Ingalls retired after the 2015 season. Coach Maceranka begins his first season at the helm of the Hawk program. As a former Hawk himself he played for the past two successful coaches at Laguna Hills, Coach Bresnahan (2 CIF Titles and 5 League Championships) and Coach Ingalls (1 CIF Title and 8 League Championships). He brings a resume of 5 League Championships in his past 7 seasons as a Head Coach at Segerstrom High School. It is his goal to continue the proud tradition of Hawk Football success on and off the field. Our freshmen team is coached by outstanding people. Head Coach Scott Douglass has been coaching high school football for over 30 years, he coached varsity football at Laguna Hills and Dana Hills for 20 seasons. Assistant coach Tim

Miltenberger has been a varsity football coach for over 30 seasons, the past 27 at LHHS. Coach Joe Brick has been a fixture on the Hawk lower level staff for over a decade and Mike McCloskey is a Hawk alumni who started for four seasons for the UCLA Bruins at Center. They will teach our players the proper and safe way to play football while building character and work ethic to help our players succeed on the field, in the classroom and in the future. There is no better sport than high school football, and no better place to play it than Laguna Hills High School. The benefits of a small school, multisport athlete emphasis, top notch academic programs and outstanding teachers and coaches make LHHS the place to be.
