Supervisor Logistics/Garage Cedar Point has an immediate opening for the position of Supervisor Logistics/Garage in Sandusky, Ohio. This fulltime position will report to our Director of Ride & Electrical Maintenance. JOB SUMMARY: Supervise maintenance garage and crib operations. Order and maintain material, supplies and parts for the Ride Maintenance Department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work in weather extremes and at heights in excess of 420'. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises Tool Crib and Garage operations. Associates are affiliated with Laborer’s Union Local 480. Provides training and direction to line associates. Coaches and counsels associates to improve performance. Delegates work assignments. Motivates staff to achieve optimum job performance through positive feedback and personal example, Hiring of seasonal and full time associates as applicable. Responsible for managing the budget for parts and labor for the garage and parts for the ride maintenance department. Works with the purchasing department to apply best purchasing practices for jobs. Oversees all shipping, receiving, and keeping track of items in transit and out for rebuild or replacement items. Responsible for consistency and quality of parts and parts produced per the corporate standard. Oversees fleet retirement and purchasing. Coordinates safety program and compliance for Maintenance Department Fill in for second shift maintenance supervisor on occasion. Coordinate Elevator Maintenance service work and state inspection/licensing Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment. Other duties may be assigned.
