Entries on the day have a 50% surcharge per entry and must be made at least 15 minutes before the start of each class with the secretary.

Class entry fees will be refunded less 20% only if notified by email 24 hours prior to start of show and accompanied by a vet or doctor’s certificate. Equestrian Entries admin fees are non-refundable.
11. Approved helmets must be worn while mounted and long sleeves while jumping. Please refer to rules for each discipline for appropriate attire and equipment. Pony Club uniform is acceptable attire in all rings.

A ground levy of $10 per horse is required for each horse that enters the Waikanae Pony Club grounds.

All competitors and spectators enter the grounds at their own risk. Waikanae Pony Club does not accept liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to ponies, horses, and riders or any other persons or property whatsoever. Ambulance onsite from 12pm onwards.

All non-Pony Club members must complete a NZPCA Casual Member form and return it with their entry.

Judge’s decision is final in all events. Protests to be made in writing accompanied by $50 (returned if protest upheld) within 15 minutes of completion of event in question.

No horse or pony under the age of 4 years may compete in any class.

12. Waikanae Pony Club reserves the right to make any changes to this programme or to postpone or cancel the show if circumstances deem it necessary. 13. If fewer than 8 entries are received in a class, prize money will be issued to 1st & 2nd placegetters only; if fewer than 5 entries, prize money will be issued to 1st place only. Prize money must be collected on the day. Prizes may consist of goods or vouchers. 14. Height certificates must be produced if requested or prize money will be withheld. 15. Any horse/pony that may kick must wear a red tail ribbon. 16. All riders and their supporters are expected to show good sportsmanship. Abuse of any animal will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification. 17. On completion and payment of entry, it is assumed that you have read and understood the above conditions.
