COFFEE – INSTANT

Here’s how to make one cup of instant coffee. It’s good to know these particulars: * To learn how to boil water, go to the Basic Start, How To’s section – Boil Water. For this recipe I recommend using a liquid measuring cup to boil water in the microwave or a good old fashioned tea kettle on the stove top will do the trick. For this recipe, you don’t need to use a standard measuring spoon. You can use ones from your silverware drawer. ______1.

Get instant coffee. Get teaspoon. Get cup with handle (to drink from). Get about 3/4 cup boiling water. Get milk or cream, if wanted. Get sugar, if wanted. Get another teaspoon, if using sugar. Get instant coffee, a clean teaspoon, a clean cup with a handle to drink the coffee from, about three fourths of a cup of boiling water, fresh milk or cream (check the expiration date to make sure it’s still good), if you would like to add this to your coffee, sugar, if you would like to add this to your coffee, and another clean teaspoon, if you’re using milk or cream and/or sugar.

Measure 1 full teaspoon coffee. Using the measuring spoons, measure one mounded teaspoon of coffee.

Put coffee into cup. Put the coffee from the teaspoon into the cup.

Careful! Put boiling water into cup. Using your one hand, hold the handle on the cup to keep it steady and safe. Using your other hand, carefully pour the water into the cup by tipping the container with the water down and over the cup.

Mix. Using your one hand, hold the handle of the cup to keep it steady and safe. Using your other hand and the teaspoon, mix together the coffee and water until well blended. Take the spoon out of the cup. This spoon has coffee on it and shouldn’t be used again to scoop up sugar because coffee will end up in the sugar bowl.

Put a little bit of milk or cream into coffee, if wanted. Using your one hand, hold the handle of the cup to keep it steady. Using your other hand and a carton of milk or cream, tip the carton down and over the cup, and pour a little bit of milk or cream into the cup of coffee.

Put a little bit of sugar into coffee, if wanted. Using your one hand, hold the handle of the cup to keep it steady. Using your other hand and the other, clean teaspoon, scoop up a little bit of sugar. Using your hand and the teaspoon of sugar, put the sugar into the cup of coffee.

Mix, if using milk or cream and/or sugar. Using your one hand, hold the handle of the cup to keep it steady and safe. Using your other hand and the teaspoon, mix together the coffee and any milk or cream and sugar in the cup until well blended.

Take out spoon. Take the spoon out of the cup.

COFFEE – Fresh Brewed

Here’s how to make fresh brewed coffee using a coffee maker (generally makes one to ten or twelve cups of coffee). ______1.

Put paper filter in place on coffee maker.

Measure coffee according to instructions on coffee package and how many cups you want.

Here’s how to make fresh brewed coffee using a coffee maker (generally makes one to ten or twelve cups of coffee). Get milk or cream, if wanted. Get sugar, if wanted. Get teaspoon, if using milk or cream and/or sugar. Get your coffee maker and make sure all the parts are clean, coffee ground up for your type of coffee maker, a paper filter to fit your coffee maker, a clean scoop (comes with coffee maker or coffee) or a clean set of measuring spoons, cold water from a faucet, clean cups with handles to drink the coffee from, fresh milk or cream (check the expiration date to make sure it’s still good), if you would like to add this to your coffee, sugar, if you would like to add this to your coffee, and a clean teaspoon, if you’re using milk or cream and/or sugar.
