GET INVOLVED WITH HILLINGDON CYCLING CAMPAIGN The London Cycling Campaign has a local group in every borough in London (www.lcc.org.uk/in-your-area). Do you have any spare time to help us develop or be involved in a LCC local group in Hillingdon? We have a designated staff member - Amy Summers - who supports our local groups and would like to work with you! Email
[email protected] for details or read below!
WHAT’S INVOLVED? ORGANISE A MEETING: Could you help to arrange a regular (bi monthly) meeting for local cyclists to get together? This could be in a local pub, café or community centre.
CALL FOR CHANGE:
With other
local cyclists, could you arrange to speak to, or meet representatives from the local council to discuss problems for cyclists in the area or make suggestions for improvements? We can offer full support with this from the central LCC office & see the Space for Cycling feature in this edition of the magazine for some tips and guidance on how to do this!
ORGANISE A RIDE OR EVENT:
Are you a budding ride leader? Or do you organise led rides already? Fancy
organising a ride on behalf of Hillingdon Cycling Campaign?. This could be a short family friendly ride, or a longer trip. We can help to organise ride leader training and promote the event. Or maybe you’re a skilled bike mechanic who could run a workshop to teach others?
SIGN UP FOR RIDE UPDATES! Some of our members in Hillingdon are keen to organised some easy, social rides in the borough. If you’re interested in joining one of these rides, please email
[email protected] to be kept up to date with details!
