Veterans Day Program

Thur: Cereal, toast, sausage patties fruit, juice, We are privileged to have a patriotic community that recognizes veterans and also young men and women willing to serve our country. This year J. B. McClung and Mrs. Alba Dissinger were hon& milk ored to speak at our veteran's day assembly Fri: Pancakes, Veteran’s Day, originally called our Armistice Day, was a day to honor those who fought in the sausage patties, Great War , the War to End all Wars, WW1. The armistice or ceasefire was signed on the 11th fruit, & milk hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 and the first one was observed on the first year

anniversary of the armistice. The name was later changed to Veteran’s Day after WWII and the Korean War in order to honor all who had served. Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day. Memorial Day honor service members who died in service to there country as a result of injuries incurred during battle. Veterans Day is set aside to thank and honor living veterans who served honorably in the military– in wartime or peacetime. Deceased veterans are also remembered at this time. Grandparents Day Program On November 10th Ms.Senkoff and the Elementary students Prek-3 through 4th grade presented a very entertaining program about Grandparents and Thanksgiving. After the program the grandparents and students enjoyed a delicious meal.
