Don’t let people get you down!
Ask for help at school!
Learning new things is exciting (“I love school,” the star gushes), but we know it can also be overwhelming sometimes, especially when you’re having trouble understanding something. “Ask a teacher or a friend for help,” G. says. “Stick with it, and don’t get too discouraged.”

Try new things!
“I tried a ton of things as a kid,” G. reveals. “I played piano, I did fencing and I even went to circus school!” Finding hobbies and activities that you love will introduce you to new friends and make you a happier person, so don’t be afraid to try something new!

Take care of yourself!

Help others!
“Me and my family work with an organization called A Window Between Worlds that uses art as a healing tool,” G. reveals. It’s important to give back, but how can you do it? Grab some friends and find a place in your community—like an animal shelter or a nursing home—that could use your help. Then offer to volunteer!
Love your body!
Sometimes you may wish you looked more like your bud with the great hair or your pal who’s got a different body type, but remember: You’re beautiful just the way you are. “Growing up I was small for my age,” G. confesses. “I didn’t like it, but I grew to love who I am.”

Don’t grow up too fast!
Sometimes you may face pressure to act older, but you’re only a kid once. Enjoy it while you can! G. totally agrees. “Be with your family and good friends who let you be yourself.”
