Hall's River House

Welcome Home...

To a home that is comfortable yet sophisticated - modern yet classic, and always delightful... To a view that soars beyond the nearby peaks of the Snowy Range and the Medicine Bow National Forest... To a community with a proud history and a promising future.

Hall's River House is positioned on the upper bank of the Little Laramie River, a perennial river that forms in the Medicine Bow National Forest and drains into the Laramie River. The entire region is dotted with superior fly fishing opportunities. Rainbows, browns, cutthroats and brookies flourish in the cold waters of the watershed.

In addition to the river, Hall's Little Laramie River Ranch features slightly over 200 acres of pasturelands and meadows. Two small creeks that flow year-round through the acreage provide irrigation water and fresh drinking water for horses or other animals and supply a trout pond. Small stands of tall cottonwoods provide plenty of shade and shelter.

Hall's River House

Hall's River House was completed in 2005 with 5,002 square feet of living space. The light and airy sunken living room features a native stone fireplace. Large windows and patio doors open to the ground level patio and deck that extends the entire length of the home and overlooks the river.

The spacious living room extends into the adjoining sunroom with its many windows and skylights. The open and inviting layout of the living space and galley kitchen leading naturally to the deck and patio lend well to entertaining.

The kitchen lies at the center of the home...just above the living and casual entertaining space of the sunken sunroom and living room, and just across a hallway from the formal dining room/library. The work area of the galley kitchen features striking granite countertops, a flat cook top, and a large pantry. Tile flooring in the kitchen area ensures easy clean up and maintenance. The hallways and dining room/library on the main level feature gleaming Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. The guest bedrooms are carpeted. A solar system preheats water for the hot water radiant floor heat, which provides even warmth throughout the home. The home's lighting system was professionally designed. The central kitchen area features a programmable system that provides just the right ambience for every occasion. The Brazilian cherry wood floors are a striking feature of the second level of the home. The master suite enjoys a spacious area, a large bath and a walk-in closet. A private deck from which to start the morning or enjoy the starry nights is an added amenity. Adjoining the master suite and overlooking the living room below, a multi-use area serves well as an office, an exercise room, or a family gathering area. Little Laramie River

Photo taken from the county road looking upstream onto the property. The property enjoys approximately 700 feet along both banks of the Little laramie River – its prominent physical feature. The banks of the river are grassy and wooded with cottonwoods and willows.

Fly-fishing friends enjoy the rainbow, cutthroat, brown trout and brook trout fishery. Upstream landowners and the Wyoming Game & Fish Department contribute to the fishery through stocking efforts. A trout pond was built back in the 1940's. With flowing water provided by the small Tagert Creek, the trout pond is a good rainbow trout fishery and wildlife attractant.

Hall's Meadows & Acreage

Up to 204 acres of grassy meadows and pasturelands are available for purchase with Hall's Little Laramie River Ranch. Approximately 100 acres historically have been flood irrigated. Irrigation water is supplied by two small perennial streams, “Tagert Creek” and “Swamp Ditch”. The pastures could be managed for hay production or used for horse pasture.

An old stage stop barn and corrals still stand on the property portraying a historical glimpse into the late 1800's era and the stage line that carried passengers and goods from Laramie to the Rambler Mine above Albany.

Elk have been seen on the property throughout the year. The “old sheep pasture” is now dotted with willows and provides cover and protection that cows use during the spring calving season. Bulls are seen on the property during the mid- to late fall. A variety of other wildlife is also found on Hall's Little Laramie River Ranch. The Medicine Bow National Forest, with its many miles of hunting and recreational opportunities, is only a short drive away.
