o n i n Te Tales Hello Tenino Families! Happy Thanksgiving! With all the great food, time with family and of course, football, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. To help set the tone for the beginning of the holiday season here at Tenino Elementary, we have chosen the theme of generosity. (It’s the G in TIGER!) We define generosity as the desire to give what you have to others. Generous people are not selfish. They want to help those in need and are always willing to share. Every day, either on the intercom or in the classroom, students are reminded of the importance of giving of themselves for the benefit of all. The theme goes along with our emphasis on trying your best (grit!) and taking care of your school community. This newsletter provides additonal updates and themes for the month of December. Here’s wishing you and your family and healthy and joyful start to the holiday season! Fall Family Fun Night & Pie Bake Off: The Pie Bake Off winner was Bobbie Bates (Jayden Bates grandmother)& the Chili Cook Off winner was Rene Pye. Thank you so much to the Tenino PTA for sponsoring this annual, fun, family-centered event. Food Drive: Our annual Food Drive will be held November 30-December 14. All items will be donated to the Tenino Food Bank. Holiday Gift Shop: Students can purchase gifts for family and friends. Most gifts are $1 to $5. Donations of new and gently used gifts appreciated! December 11-14 in the Art Room. 5th Grade Holiday Concert: Parents and family members are invited to the evening concert at 7:00 PM in the MP room. December Spirit Assembly: Our December assembly is scheduled for Friday, December 15th at 12:45. We will be honoring November and December Students of the Month.
