7 v 7 Big Shot Recap National Signing Day

On November 17th, the PRHSBL Board Members hosted all lacrosse parents at the High School Stadium Sprit Room to review all matters related to the High School Team. Topics that were covered during the hour long session were: board member introduction, budget overview, club operations, fundraising, yearbook, as well as changes to WPIAL Conference for the 2017 Season. There will be a mandatory parent/player meeting to be held in February, date and time to be determined.

Welcome Pat Donnelly to the Ram Family as JV Assistant Coach for 2017. Pat was a 2-time WPIAL Champion with Mt. Lebanon as well as the WPIAL Player of the Year and All -American in 2012. Pat played for Boston University from 20142016 serving as captain in the ‘15 & ‘16 seasons.

Fall Parent Meeting Coaches Corner

Senior Thomas Hanulak signed to play lacrosse as a midfielder at Seton Hill University, where he will study sports management. In 2016, he was named to the All-Section and All-WPIAL teams. He was the leading goal scorer and finished second in points to Adam Reimer (SHU Freshmen). He was named to the Under Armour Underclass Team for 2017. In addition to lettering in lacrosse, he lettered in football in 2016. In 2014, he was the first freshman to make varsity and ranked fifth in points with the top four being seniors while in Tallahassee, FL.. Academically he has achieved the high honor roll three times. Thomas is a 3rd-generation college athlete to play ball on a scholarship in his family. His dad Patrick Hanulak played baseball at the University of Maryland and his grandfather Chet Hanulak played football & baseball at the University of Maryland and then for the Cleveland Browns in 1950’s. “This offer translates to the realization that hard work and dedication pays off,” said senior Thomas Hanulak

Our PR High School Rams took to the road on November 6th to participate in the 17th annual Wheeling Jesuit Big Shot 7 v 7 tournament. The Rams fielded two teams, JV and Varsity classifications and dominated the day versus the area competition. The Varsity went a perfect 6-0 on the day to take home the tournament crown. Our JV team finished a strong 4-2 on the afternoon. This tournament concluded 3 fall tournaments that the Rams participated in, including the USC play day, the annual Seneca Valley Pumpkin Classic both played in October. Congratulations to all our players who participated and showed RAM Pride in representing the their team and community this fall. GO RAMS!

Player Yearbook Ads

PR Rams will be defending their 2016 title at The Midnight Madness Tourney on Saturday February 4th. The tournament runs from 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM and is officiated by PIAA refs and on site trainers are available.

WPIAL Season begins on Monday, March 6th and mandatory tryouts will be held at Lakevue Athletic Club. (3/6 to 3/8). Cost is $850 for the season.

The 2017 Player Yearbook Ads are due to PRHSBL Yearbook Staff by February 15th. Send them early to beat the rush! Your 1/2 page ad is part of the 2017 Spring Registration Fee.

Scott Wilden ‘15 Scott Wilden signed with Chestnut Hill University in the Philadelphia area and will be a redshirt freshmen for the upcoming season. Scott recently was a volunteer assistant coach for the 2016 Rams season working with the JV and Varsity offenses. Good Luck Scott!

Austin Hughes ‘15 Austin recently was named one of 13 Alpha Company Corporals at Virginia Military Institute. Austin played in 11 games during his freshman season in 2016 tallying one goal and one assist on they year. Austin is majoring in Economics and Business. Congrats Austin!
