Public Safety County posse officers sworn in
Sheriff Bud Olson recently swore in the 2008 slate of officers for the Carver County Sheriff ’s Mounted Posse. The 2008 officers include Capt. June Hilgers of Waconia; 1st Lt. Erin Owen of Excelsior; 2nd Lt. Emily Boote of Tonka Bay; and Sgt. Terry Theleman of Waconia. The swearing-in took place at the posse’s regular monthly meeting held on Monday, Jan. 14, at the Carver Country Sheriff ’s Office, according to a Sheriff ’s Office press release. The Carver Co Sheriff ’s Mounted Posse is a volunteer organization that assists the Sheriff ’s Office with security and crowd control, search and rescue operations, community relations and outreach activities, as well as special missions as assigned. Those interested in becoming a member are welcome to attend one of the Posse’s monthly meetings, the second Monday of each month. In addition to attending monthly meetings and partici-
