12 Days of Giving We all know the song, but do you know the history? The 12 days of Christmas are meant to celebrate the gifts God has given to us, and to celebrate the birth of Christ. This year, show one special family how loved they are. It’s even better to choose a family who is having a hard time and could use the encouragement. how it works Each day for 12 days you’ll deliver a gift to the same family. Do your best to keep it a secret by leaving it on the doorstep or having someone different deliver it everyday. On the 12th night, deliver a meal or a dessert and reveal yourself if you want to. Think small—fresh fruit, homemade banana bread, or knit gloves. Think cute—Pears for day 1, 5 Golden Donuts on day 5. Or, go big—a child’s nativity set, a Christmas tree, a full Christmas dinner.
