Holiday Table Supply List Topper, Placemats and Napkin Rings

Make one, make two, or make all three. The runner is reversible if you like, as are the placemats. For any of the items you’ll need the usual notions, including:   

Quarter inch foot if you have one and sewing machine Rulers, Rotary Cutter and Mat Pins, thread, and seam ripper

Your fabric requirements will vary a bit based on the item(s) you choose to make and on whether or not you want to make reversible item(s). Let your imagination run and your holiday spirit reign! Here are basics: 

 

Table Topper, one side – a total of about 6-10 six inch strips, or fat quarters (you’ll have lots left over for napkin rings). 120 inches of bias binding, ¾ yard of backing, and 28” by 28” batting. Placemats (4), one side – 1 yard background or main fabric, a quarter to a third of strip piece fabric (depends on directionality), ½ yard for binding and 1 yard backing. Your ‘left overs’ can be used for napkin rings.
