DESCRIPTION: Decorate your table with these easy holiday napkins. Quick embroidery project and a dinner table conversation starter for certain! We will make two napkins in class. CATEGORY: Quilting___ Embroidery__X_ Software___ Garment___ Fiber Arts___ Other___ SKILL LEVEL: Beginner_X_ Confident Beginner_X_ Intermediate_X_ Advanced_X_ PREREQUISTE: Please have completed all Machine Mastery and Embroidery Mastery Classes. SUPPLIES: all supplies listed are required unless noted otherwise!!!  Sewing and embroidery machine, accessories box and whatever sewing and/or embroidery notions needed for a fun day of sewing.  Your embroidery module and your slide on table to use for regular sewing.  Small design or monogram to fit into a 3½” x 4” triangle. A template of the embroidery area is enclosed below. This template will also be provided as a design to stitch for fabric placement.  Oval Hoop.  Tear-away stabilizer, enough for at least TWO Oval hoopings. This is a great project for OESD Stabil-Stick or Floriani Perfect Stick Tear-away.  505 Spray Baste if you don’t use an adhesive type stabilizer.  See Feet Required list below for recommendations.  For two napkins, bring TWO coordinating fat quarters, for four napkins, bring ½ yard of TWO coordinating fabrics. The tree main focus fabric should be fairly plain so the will show. The lining fabric can be anything. You should get at least two napkins made in class.  Thread: o Isacord embroidery thread as called for by your design that contrasts well to the tree focus fabric. o Bobbin thread – whatever you normally use for embroidery. o Regular sewing thread (for napkin assembly) in coordinating or matching napkin color.  Notions and Supplies: o Organ 80/12 embroidery needles (or whatever size is appropriate for the thread you use). o Marking pencil that will show on the napkin focus fabric. o Straight pins. o 45mm rotary cutter – an acrylic template will be available to use in class. o Sharp snips for clipping curves.  Pen or pencil and notebook. Embroidery or monogram design must fit inside the above triangle template. The lines inside on the bottom and right are seam lines. This same design will also be provided in class to stitch in the stabilizer to use as a guide for fabric placement. In class we will load the template to your machine, then bring in your monogram or selected design and place it within the template so the design will come out placed perfect the first time.
