BOX TOPS! Collect & turn in your Box Tops for Education! THANKSGIVING FEAST The Faith Families have planned a Thanksgiving Feast for November 21st. Each student signed up for an item to bring and reminder notices went home last week. If the reminder notice didn’t make it home with your little one, please contact Ms. Wright at
[email protected]. If you will not be at school, please contact the office so we can make other arrangements. WOODLAND PARADE With the great help of Ms. Dale, HRS is planning on participating in the Woodland Holiday Parade. Save the date and send your little one out to be in the parade on Saturday, December 9th! We are in need of a truck and trailer still if anyone has access to one for the few days before and day of, it is greatly appreciated. If you
would like to help put the float together, please contact Ms. Dale or the office. AUCTION-MARCH 10 The Auction Committee needs members to help work different committees. This event is the largest and most critical fundraiser of the year and without it, tuition rates would not be able to remain low. Full tuition rates DO NOT cover the cost to educate our students, and HRS relies on this and the other fundraisers. Your help is crucial. The committee will be sending out online sign ups for parents to choose which committee they would like to assist. When the sign ups are sent out, the expectation is that each family will assist on at least one committee. This is the last event to obtain the 20 fundraising hours. Committees are: Invites/Guests; Donations; Auction Operations (including check out); Food; Decorations; Publicity; and Dessert Auction. The Auction Chair will provide a description of duties and direct the groups, but HRS needs the man power to make this year as successful as last year. FIRST TRIMESTER AWARDS There is a lot to celebrate today! Congratulations to our 4th through 8th grade students who were able to maintain a 3.0-4.0 GPA, many doing this while balancing extra curricular activities. We would also like to highlight, Andrew Caskey’s reading achievement. He was able to earn 100 AR points in one trimester! Alina Estrada for sold the most Fall Festival raffle tickets earning a movie theater gift card. The 7th/8th grade sold the most tickets per student earning a pizza party! We also recognized the hard work of our Cross Country team today.
