Eligibility Requirements In order to qualify you must be a graduate of a Saginaw County High School and have been a resident of Saginaw County for a minimum of 1 year prior to graduating from High School. Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) - Must possess at least a 2.50 grade point average. Need for Economic Assistance - Must demonstrate financial need as defined by Trustee. Age – Scholarships are available for students 16-30 years of age. Full time status - Must maintain full-time enrollment (as defined by the college) for at least 36 weeks of the year. Grade Transcripts – Transcripts or most current report card must be submitted with scholarship application. Identification - Along with your application, please include ~ A copy of your current driver’s license or other photo identification ~ A copy of your high school diploma or high school grade transcripts/report card Essay - On a separate piece of paper, please write a brief story of your life. You can write about things such as where you attended school; what person or events most influenced your plans for the future; volunteer work in and out of school; your ambitions, interests, hobbies, a philosophy of life, and any other information you wish us to consider in reviewing your application. Recommendations - Applicant must display ambition, character, and leadership skills. Please provide 2 letters of recommendation from two people who are not related to you. It is the policy of Huntington Bank that recipients may not be a Huntington Bank employee or family member. Enrollment Period – March 1 – May 1 ONLY APPLICATIONS THAT ARE FULLY COMPLETE AND SUBMITTED ON TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED.
