Hot Bowl Hot Pad
Wednesday, August 21st 10:30-2:30 Taught by: Peggy Jeffrey Cost: $20.00 + pattern + supplies Do you use your microwave to heat up leftovers? Then this is the class for you. These great bowl hot pads hold your bowl while it is in the microwave and then you have a hot pad around the bowl to take the dish out without burning your fingers. You can also make a splatter cover with a vinyl backing to put over your bowl to help keep your microwave clean. We have only scheduled a day class for this project but if you are interested in an evening class please let us know and we will schedule one in September. For the beginner and beyond.

Thursday, August 22nd from 1:00-4:00 or Thursday, August 29th from 6:00-9:00 Taught by: Jane Stillman Cost: $15.00 + pattern + supplies This great kid’s quilt has flaps in the center of each block. When you open the flaps you have a surprise of something under the flaps. This is a great quilt to use some of the novelty fabrics that you have in your stash because you thought they were so cute but you have never figured out what to do with them. Jane will teach you the technique and you will be quickly on your way to making a fun kids quilt. So look through your stash or stop in at Sew Nice for 12 or more novelty prints, some bright colors and whimiscal prints and you will have your fabric supplies for this quilt. Bernina Service Day August 12th

Does your Bernina need cleaning? Tom from Patchwork Plus will be coming to Norwich on Monday, August 12th to pick up machines for service. He will be transporting the machines to his shop at Patchwork Plus and servicing them there. He will be returning the machines to Norwich the following Monday, (August 19th). Because Patchwork Plus has designated Sew Nice a Bernina Classroom store, Tom is very happy to provide our customers with this wonderful convenience. So pack up your machine - please include all of your feet as Tom needs your feet to service all the components of your machine - and deliver it to Sew Nice prior to 6:00pm on Saturday, August 10th. If you are having a problem with your Bernina please let us know as soon as possible so that Tom can order any parts that might be necessary to put your machine in tip-top shape. Please be sure that your name, address and telephone number are clearly visible on your machine.
New York State & Pennsylvania Row by Row Quilt Shop Hop July 1st - September 2nd Cost: FREE!!!!!!
75 Quilt Shops around NY State and 63 Quilt Shops around PA are participating in a 2 statewide Shop Hop. Travel around NY and PA, shop, and collect all the different patterns! Have fun making the rows and designing a quilt. It’s the easiest shop hop ever! Just visit any of the participating quilt shops throughout the months of July and August. Each shop is giving away a pattern for one row in a Fairs and Festivals theme. Pick up as many as you can, then mix and match your rows to create a fun and unique quilt. No passports and no fees! It’s a freebie! Be the first person to complete a quilt using at least 8 rows from 8 different shops (quilted, bound, and labeled) and win 25 fat quarters. Each shop will have one winner! Last year Sew Nice did not have a winner! So get moving people and let’s have a winner this year. If you are the first one to turn in a completed quilt to Sew Nice and you have used the Sew Nice row in your quilt you will not only win 25 Fat Quarters but you will also get a bonus of 16 Fat Quarters.
