Cutting Instructions • Skill Level: Intermediate • Measurements include ¼" seam allowances. • Border strips are exact lengths needed. You might want to cut them longer to allow for piecing variations • Please read all instructions before beginning. • Label all pieces after cutting. • WOF = Width of Fabric from selvage to selvage • LOF = Length of fabric parallel to the selvage
23544 F - Stars Forest/Metallic Gold (binding) • Cut 6 @ 2½" x WOF; join the strip ends using diagonal seams.
25909 X - Nativity Panel • Fussy Cut panel at 34½" x 41½" making sure to leave a ¼" seam allowance on all four sides of printed panel.
All seams are sewn with right sides together using a ¼" seam allowance unless noted otherwise.
25911 R - Stained Glass Red • Cut 5 @ 3⅜" x WOF, sub cut 44 @ 3⅜" x 3⅜" Unit B (Border 2) 24432 E - Lace Medallion Cream • Cut 4 @ 6" x WOF; sub cut 22 @ 6" x 6", divide each twice diagonally Unit C (Border 2) • Cut 1 @ 3¼" x WOF; sub cut 4 @ 3¼" x 3¼", divide each once diagonally Unit A (Border 2)

25911 R - Stained Glass Red (backing) • Cut 2 @ 54" x WOF, join the two lengths together along the selvages for horizontal seams using a 1" seam. Trim to ½ " and press to one side. Trim backing to 54" x 62" Horizontal seam.
1. Sew two Unit C Cream Lace Medallion Triangles to opposite sides of a Unit B Stained Glass Square. Align each triangle so that the 90 degree corner is even with the square. As shown in the diagram below. Repeat to make 44 Diamond Border sub-units.
25910 G - Medallions Green • Cut 6 @ 2½" x WOF; join the strip ends using diagonal seams (Border 3) 23544 M - Stars Wine/Metallic Gold • Cut 3 @ 2¼" x WOF; join the strip ends using diagonal seams (Border 1 - sides) • Cut 3 @ 3" x WOF; join the strip ends using diagonal seams (Border 1 - top & bottom)
2. Trim off the corner that extends past the square as shown in the image. Repeat for all 44 units.
4. Fold a Cream Lace Medallion Unit A triangle in half across it’s long side to find the center. On one end of the diamond border, fold the edge of the Unit B Stained Glass Square in half to find the center. Align the centers of both and sew together. Repeat for the other end of the border. Repeat for the other 3 border assemblies.
5. Trim off the point of the triangle that extends past the end as shown. Repeat for the other end of the border. Repeat for the other 3 border assemblies. 3. Sew 11 of these units together; Align the seam from one unit with the seam from the next as shown. Repeat with the rest of the Diamond Border sub-units to make 4 border assemblies total.

6. Trim all four sides of a Diamond Border so that you have a ¼" seam allowance on all sides. Repeat for the other three borders. Borders should measure 4½" x 44½"
7. Take the Wine Stars 2¼" wide strip and divide it into two equal lengths. Sew each one to the long sides of the panel. Trim the ends even with the panel. 8. Take the Wine Stars 3" wide strip and divide it into two equal lengths. Sew one to the bottom and one to the top of the panel. Center and trim red star border to measure 36½" x 44½"
9. Sew two Diamond borders to opposite sides of the Wine Star bordered panel.
12. Cut (2) 2½" x 48½" Medallions Green border strips. Sew these to the top and the bottom of the quilt.
13. Layer the top, batting and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind with the binding strip.

10. Sew the remaining two Diamond borders to the top & bottom of the Wine Star bordered panel.
11. Cut (2) 2½" x 52½" Medallions Green border strips. Sew these to each side of the quilt.
