NOTE TO BCTC STUDENTS  Beginning with the fall semester of 2006, BCTC students are no longer automatically eligible for participation in UK Intramural activities and other Campus Recreation programs.  To become eligible, BCTC students must pay the “Recreation Fee.”  The “Recreation Fee” can be paid by eligible BCTC students at www.uky.edu/UK-eStore along with fees for other UK programs.  For information about paying the “Recreation Fee,” becoming eligible for Campus Recreation programs and joining the Campus Rec programs, please call the Campus Recreation main office at 257-3928 or stop by Monday through Friday between 7am and 6pm to the main office located in the Johnson Center. GENERAL INFORMATION  All participants must create an account, electronically sign the online waiver and pass a participant quiz to participant in numerous intramural sports at www.imleagues.com

All participants should be familiar with the UK Participant Handbook Valid UK or BCTC student, faculty or staff ID required for all contests to participate http://www.uky.edu/campusrec/intramurals No alcohol is permitted at the tournament. Players with alcohol will be removed from the course and tournament.

ROSTERS  Two (2) player limit for Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Rec teams.  Players may play for ONLY ONE single sex team whether Greek or Independent.  Players may, however, play for ONE Co-Rec team.  Players are not officially on a team until they have shown their ID to check in or for on-site registration signed a waiver. Once a player has played for a team that is the team, he or she shall be on for the remainder of the league or tournament. PLAYERS MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TEAMS  The maximum number of players at one time is two (2).  A team must have a minimum of two (2) players to start the game. CO-REC TEAMS  The maximum number of players on the field is two (1 man and 1 woman).  A team must have a minimum of two (2) players to start the game LEAGUE OR TOURNAMENT PLAY  Schedules will be posted at www.imleagues.com  Schedule information will not be given over the telephone or through social media  Decisions on rainouts will not be made until at least 3pm on game day and a message will be sent through imleagues.com and or social media CORNHOLE BASICS  UK Intramural Cornhole play will be doubles play

Single-elimination tournament o A match will consist of ONE game to 21 points  Must win the game to advance Scoring shall be “Traditional 21” format Each set of opposing partners shall toss their four cornhole bags toward the appropriate platform The completion of one set of opposing partners tosses, four tosses per player, is considered a frame Each toss must reach the platform in the air and may not skip or bounce on the ground o Bags that skip or bounce on the ground are illegal tosses and disqualified o Illegal or disqualified tosses may not score points nor prevent others from scoring by knocking bags of either team from the platform o Should an illegal toss knock any other bags from the platform, those bags are to be placed back on the board as close to their original position as possible o Once players agree to the location of the bag on the board no protest may be made should the bag fall from the platform later in the frame

EQUIPMENT o Intramurals will provide cornhole boards and bags. BEGINNING A GAME  The winner of the pre-match coin-toss shall have the choice of who tosses against whom and which team shall toss first  The lower seed team captain shall call the toss. SCORING  Scoring shall be “Traditional 21” format o The first team to earn 21 points or pass 21 points following completion of a frame wins the match  A bag going through the cornhole earns three (3) points  A bag landing and remaining on the platform without touching the ground earns one (1) point  “Dirty” bags and o If any part of the bag is touching the ground, the bag is “dirty” and is to be removed from the board o The entire bag does not have to be on the platform and may hang on the side of the platform provided it does not fall or touch the ground  At the end of each frame, the total points earned are tallied and the difference given to the player with the higher total for his team’s total game score  EXAMPLE: BLUE TEAM GRAY TEAM TOSS 1 3 points 1 point TOSS 2 0 points 1 point TOSS 3 1 point 3 points TOSS 4 0 points 0 points TOTAL

Should the players have the same amount, neither team earns a point in that frame

CONDUCT  It is the desire of the Campus Recreation Department that all participants display good sportsmanship at all times.  Any player ejected from a game for any reason shall be suspended from ALL Intramural play until meeting with the Director of Intramurals. It is the responsibility of the player to contact the Campus Recreation Office to setup an appointment. If players are found to be participating before being reinstated they will be suspended from all Intramural Activity for the remainder of the semester. A team for which an ineligible player participated for will forfeit all games in which the ineligible player participated.  Fighting will not be tolerated in any form. Teams will be responsible for their players and spectators. Teams and/or individuals may be subjected to expulsion from any further Intramural Sports. PROTESTS  There will be no protest involving official’s judgment.  Protests of rule interpretation must be made before the start of the next dead ball situation.  To protest, the protesting team must begin the process immediately following the event in question. The supervisor’s decision is final.  Protests can be made without team time-outs. A rejected protest in this case will result in an Unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the team captain.  Eligibility protests are permitted. They must be filed in writing by noon the following business day. All eligibility protest must be turned into the IM Office, room 172-B of the Johnson Center.
