Feilding Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade: Adrian Van Niekerken, Jay Wightman, Manawatu District Council Adrian and Jay will discuss the background why an upgrade of the Feilding WWTP was required, options considered for the plant and the decision making in the process and equipment, selected to deliver a plant that was innovative yet could meet the likely Horizons One Plan requirements. Whilst Actiflo units have been used in both water and wastewater applications in New Zealand, it is believed that the Actiflo/Disc Filter and the Biolak Bubble Aeration/BAS curtains system combination is a New Zealand first.
