Janet Hinkley Completed Bio 2015

Janet Hinkley Master Gardener Janet worked for 26 years with Alberta Justice as a Judicial Clerk at the Wetaskiwin Courthouse. During that time she developed strong, respectful communication and writing skills through interactions with the public, judiciary, and staff. In the same year that Janet retired from the Courthouse, she began the Master Gardener Program through University of Alberta’s Devonian Botanic Garden. Since obtaining her Certificate, she has continued to volunteer with the Devonian to gain more knowledge in as many areas as she can. The acreage where she lives with her husband and two dogs is another exciting opportunity to practice all she has learned from the Master Gardener Program. Janet has always been interested in the environment and the interconnection we all have with our natural surroundings. She will take great pleasure in observing how members of each community are working together to make a strong connection with the natural environment and how those actions are positively impacting their community.
