July 2014 Release Notes New Dashboard You’ve asked for improved performance metrics, and we’re excited to unveil our latest enhancements. From within Studio or directly through a browser, you’ll have access to some great marketing intelligence. Here’s an example of what you’ll see:
Starting with a top level view like the one shown above, your Dashboard allows you (and if you’re a service provider, your Clients) to drill down into specific campaigns and elements such as emails and microsites, and includes features like: ● Marketing funnel. In order to answer one of the most frequently asked questions: How well is my marketing performing? … we’ve provided a marketing funnel that gives you an ataglance view of how Contacts are moving through your marketing programs, including how many you’ve targeted, how many engaged with you, and how many have converted. ● Control seeds. Toggle whether you want to see seeds (your test Contacts) or ignore them in your reporting views. You can switch backandforth as needed. ● Share results. Share reports with customers, colleagues or even your boss! CSV exports of data to follow soon. ● Access from anywhere. Access reports from any web based device no need to download Studio and get the information you need quickly and securely via SSL. Reports can even be viewed from your mobile phone. Go to https://studio.dashboard.mdl.io/api/Report/GetReport and just use your Studio login.
The MindFire Studio Dashboard is compatible with any HTML5compatible browser, including: ○ Google Chrome: Windows 7, Windows 8, Android, Mac (OS X), iPhone, HTC One, Samsung S3 ○ Internet Explorer (10 & 11): Windows 7, Windows 8 ○ Firefox: Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac (OS X) ○ Opera: Windows 7 ●
Integrate with anything. Your developers can easily embed reporting views within your own interfaces, including things like your Storefronts and other administrative interfaces. Integration is simple: just call our authentication API’s to log into the dashboard from an external application and then provide a view to the dashboard through an iFrame. Click here for documentation to get started. Dynamic content improvements We have optimized the performance of our database when rule groups are in play. All areas in which rules are being used in your programs will be noticeably faster. Microsite pages will load more quickly and outbounds such as email and direct mail will be received in a shorter time period. Direct Mail Export Timestamp Ever wanted to included a time stamp in your Direct Mail (.csv) export, noting when a Contact performed a certain activity like submitted a form, opened an email, or clicked a link? Now you can!
How to obtain a timestamp for a Goal [3m 50s] How to obtain a timestamp for any Event [3m 14s]
PS: For those of you who have also used LookWhosClicking™, this provides an equivalent of LWC’s Automated Data Output (ADO) feature.
Nice to Know As with every release, there are handful of things that may be helpful for you. Here we go! Reporting ● The Reports and the Dashboard tabs, as shown in the screenshot below, will be removed. The Dashboard icon in the toolbar will remain and anyone clicking on that will go to the webbased view
of the new dashboard for the current element selected.
●
Clicking "Dashboard" in a Published Program brings you to the Program View
●
Clicking "Dashboard" in a nonpublished Program brings you to the Account View
●
Data updates every two hours for now, will change in the future.
●
For CSV exports, timestamp is in PST.
●
We are investigating reports of SMS data being incomplete with our provider.
●
Each time you log into the dashboard you will be given a 60 minute session. Upon expiration you must log in again.
System Variable Timestamp ● The timestamp system variable is in Pacific Standard Time. If you’re using Excel to view your lead reports, you can use a simple formula to convert into any timezone. ● You will notice in Studio that the variable names have been changed, as follows:
●
By adding outboundScheduleId = “xx” attribute to the event variable allows you to output the timestamp for an event tied to a specific schedule. ○ For example: ##event_date Occurrence="Last" outboundScheduleId = “1” ProgramId="1" CampaignId="1" OutboundId="2" Event="20102" From="6/26/12 12:00:00 AM" To="6/26/15 12:00:00 AM" ##
Email ● The Outbound Email’s default content has been modified to include a default RedirectURL (RedirectURL="http://studio.m.mdl.io/unsubscribe), which you can use as a default page. As always, you’re free to create your own too.
