STAFF NEWS AND INFORMATION AM Supervision: Mr. Ted Long PM Supervision: Mrs. Bjelland Weekly Challenge – Using twitter, tweet one class activity that you have your students participate in. Tweet your activity to @solomonschools. If you do not have a twitter account it is easy to set up, visit www.twitter.com. Twitter has some of the best professional development available. Study Skills – We need to ensure that our students are using study skills for the purpose of studying and completing homework for the day. No gaming or cell phones are allowed during this period. If students continuously choose to do this and do not want to use the study time wisely then we will put them in a regular class. This needs to be communicated to your classes, if you have issues please let me know. SIT Meetings – I will conduct SIT meetings with individual students on Monday. I would like to thank our SIT committee for meeting and finalizing plans for our SIT students. It is vital that all of our teachers follow the modifications written in the SIT plan, similar to an IEP. Also, if you have any students who need to be put on a SIT plan for extra support in the classroom complete the SIT referral form and email it to me. CTE Meeting – Career and Tech Ed teachers we have a CTE meeting on Tuesday, October 13 at 12:55 pm. We will finalize all of our Perkins requests, look at classes that we will need to double-up on or nest next year, and begin work on our student pathway tracking worksheet. Faculty Meeting – We will have a faculty meeting on Wednesday, October 14 at 7:30 am. Please be punctual in attendance as we have many important items to discuss.
