KSU Lands Seven on Preseason Football All-Conference Teams FRANKFORT, Ky. -- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2011 SIAC Preseason Football All-Conference Team and Predicted Order of Finish as voted by the SIAC Football Coaches Association. Kentucky State University (KSU) landed one student-athlete on the First Team and six on the Second Team. and was selected to finish third in the West Division for the 2011 season. Jessie Mitchell, a native of East St. Louis, Ill., was named to the First Team Offense. The offensive lineman led the Thorobreds to 3,303 total offensive yards last season and was selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Week one time and to the 2010 SIAC All-Conference Offensive Second Team. Jared Garrett, Ky’Ayre Hubert, Jerrel Noland and Jovan Washington, were selected to the Second Team Offense, while Carlos Ware, Keith Massey were selected to the Second Team Defense. Noland and Washington were both All-Conference Second Team selections for the 2010 campaign. Like his teammate Mitchell, Hubert was also named SIAC Offensive Lineman of the Week once during the 2010 season.
