On 11/10/2017 at approximately 1110 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Water Street. Officers contacted the driver Collen Coggins, age 41, who appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Ms. Coggins was charged with Driving Under the Influence. She was transported to the State Jail and released on her own recognizance. On 11/11/2017 at approximately 1209 hours, Officers responded to report of a theft from a west end liquor store. Officers contacted Nicholas Bader, age 56, who was found to be in possession of the stolen merchandise. Mr. Bader was charged with Theft in the Fourth Degree. He was transported to the State Jail and held without bail. On 11/11/2017 at approximately 1931 hours, Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department and Ketchikan Airport Police contacted Jennifer Haydu, age 27, at the airport. Ms. Haydu was found to be in possession of approximately 1.7 grams of Methamphetamine and 3.2 grams of Heroin. She was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Officers contacted Chaise Peters, age 29, who was there to meet Ms. Haydu. Mr. Peters who is a convicted felon was found to be in possession of a concealed loaded handgun. Mr. Peters was charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third Degree and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Fifth Degree. Both subjects were transported to the State Jail and held without bail. On 11/12/2017 at approximately 1212 hours, Officers received a report of a juvenile female who had been sexually assaulted the previous evening. Officers contacted Sage Cline, age 26. Mr. Cline was charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the First Degree. He was transported to the State Jail and held without bail. On 11/13/2017 at approximately 1221 hours, Officers contacted Tara Stout, age 30, in the lobby of the station. She was served a summons to appear in court, charging her with Theft in the Fourth Degree. The summons stems from an October 2017 case. On 11/13/2017 at approximately 2231 hours, Officers responded to a report of two juvenile shoplifters at an east end grocery store. Officers contacted two 15 year old females. One of the females was found to be in possession of marijuana. Both were charged with Theft in the Fourth Degree and one was charged with Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree. The juveniles were released to a guardian and the case was forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
