On 11/24/2017 at approximately 0300 hours, Officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue to a report a male was trespassing in an apartment building. Officers contacted Gabriel Cassin, age 27, and he was sent on his way. At approximately 0700 hours, Officers contacted Mr. Cassin in the building again. Mr. Cassin was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. He was transported to the State Jail and released on his own recognizance. On 11/24/2017 at approximately 1748 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Grant Street. Officers contacted the driver James Vanhorn, age 79, who appeared intoxicated. Mr. Vanhorn was charged with Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the State Jail and released on his own recognizance. On 11/26/2017 at approximately 1700 hours, Officers responded to the 2400 block of Hemlock Street to a report of a domestic dispute. Officers contacted Jason Brendible, age 21. Based on the investigation, Mr. Brendible was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fifth Degree-Domestic Violence. He was transported to the State Jail and held without bail. On 11/27/2017, members of the Ketchikan Police Department, Alaska State Troopers and U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Services conducted an investigation into the importation of Methamphetamine into Ketchikan by Richard Anderson, age 53. Mr. Anderson was found to have shipped approximately 3.92 ounces of Methamphetamine from Seattle, Washington to Ketchikan by barge through Alaska Marine Lines. With the assistance of Alaska Marine Lines, the shipment was seized. Mr. Anderson was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree. He was transported to the State Jail and held without bail.
