Kings Mountain Family YMCA Parent/ Guardian and Spectator Code of Conduct *in order to ensure the most positive season for all participants, families, and coaches please initial and sign below.

-I/We hereby pledge to provide positive support and encouragement for my/our child(ren) participating in YMCA Youth Sports by following this Code of Conduct. I/We understand that failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct may result in my/our removal from the program. By participating in this league, I agree to the following for myself, my family, and any friends that might come on my behalf. __________ - I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other youth sports event; I will not verbally abuse any coach, official, player, parent, and/or spectator. _________ - I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win. _____ - I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment. ______ - I will provide support for coaches and officials working with my child to provide a positive, enjoyable experience for all. _______ - I will demand a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free sports environment for my child and agree to assist by refraining from the use of those products at all youth sports events. _____ - I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child. _______ - I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, officials, and fans with respect regardless of race, gender, or ability. ______ - I will provide proper supervision for ALL children (siblings, relatives, etc.) that I bring to practices, games, and events. ______ - If I drop my child off at a practice or game, I agree to pick him/her up promptly at the end of practice. I will make every attempt to attend all practices and games. _______ - I will remember that the game is for the CHILDREN and that the efforts made by the children are more important that the final outcome of the game._______
