In literacy this week we have been creating timelines of mankind’s exploration of the frozen continent; going as far back as the Ancient Greeks in 350B.C!

Over the next two weeks we will be looking into applying mental techniques to multiplication and division questions – looking at different strategies and techniques to help us quickly decode and solve problems.

Next week we are going to continue our journey by viewing into the use of reports as we swim south to Antarctica! We will be particularly focused on the creation of Antarctic poetry, dedicating them to the Arctic landscape and the adventures of Scott. You can preview some poems on the Arctic Circle website: antarctic-circle.org/poetry.htm
