The Lee Highway and North Glebe Road improvement project is inclusive of all modes of transportation to achieve goals to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety and improve traffic flow.





A traffic impact study was conducted 2004 Lee Highway (Route 29) and Glebe Road (Route 120) are owned and maintained by Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)



Both are classified as an principal arterial



Speed limits is 30 mph



Average Daily Traffic Volume

◦ Glebe Road approximately 20,000 ◦ Lee Highway approximately 21,000

•Narrow sidewalks • Overhead wires •Poorly accessible transit stops

•Poorly lit areas •Traffic back ups •

•Confusing sidewalk connections •Non-compliant handicap ramps

•Sidewalk obstructions •Narrow sidewalks
