A CUNYAC Showdown Tonight, Lehman hosts Brooklyn College, in a key CUNY Athletic Conference matchup, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Both teams are tied for third in the latest CUNYAC standings. The Lightning have won every head-to-head match with Brooklyn, dating back to 2006. Last night, the Lightning fell to Mount Saint Mary, 3-2, in the APEX Main Gym. The Blue and Gold trailed 2-0 in the match, rallied to win the next two sets, but fell short in the fifth and deciding stanza. In that match, The Lightning were led by senior Jo-Marie Aquino, who tallied a double-double with 18 kills and 21 digs. She also added one block assist. Classmate Imani Dubois produced 18 digs and 16 assists, while junior Salveira Gonzalez produced four service aces. Aquino is currently the reigning three-time CUNYAC Player of the Week.
