Don’t Cry for Me…. Don't cry for me, I will be okay. Heaven is my home now, and this is where I'll stay. Don't cry for me, I'm where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don't cry for me, it was just my time. But I will see you someday on the other side. Don't cry for me, I am not alone. The angels are with me to welcome me home. Don't cry for me, for I have no fear. All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears. Don't cry for me, this is not the end. I'll be waiting here for you, when we meet again.

~ The Life and Legacy ~ of DOROTHY LOUISE CALLAWAY Dorothy L. Johnson- Callaway, better known as “DOT” was introduced to the world on August 30, 1952, in Covington, Georgia to Mr. John L. Shepherd and Mrs. Christine Bolden. While her mother was gently loving and determined to provide for her family, Dorothy shared a space with two working brothers and a host of younger sisters. She wanted to relieve the burden on her mother, “Dot” moved with her uncle Joe and aunt Louise. She grew into a beautiful flower in God’s garden. Waiting to be picked. That day would come soon, picked by the hand belonging to her one eternal love, Mr. Wayne Callaway. The definition of a real woman, caring, for three little girls; Fisa, Toisha and Sonya; joined in union by a strong military man that was willing to take on Love’s task. They married on August 1, 1988, moving to Covington, Georgia where they have resided at the same Hidden Pines address for the last thirty years. Throughout the years, their home became a rest haven for kids, grandchildren, other family members and a close group of friends. “Grandma Dot” will be remembered for ordering clothes from thousands of different catalogs. As well as for her classy, colorful wardrobe and her beautiful interior decorative skills. She is mostly admired for some of the best country cooking the world has ever tasted. “Grandma” we will miss your sweet red velvet cake but more than ever we will miss the sweetest lady we’ve ever known. On April 6, 2018, God called her to eternal rest. Left to cherish her fondest memories, her husband of thirty years, Mr. Wayne Callaway; three beautiful daughters, Ms. Fisa Johnson, Ms. Toisha Johnson and Ms. Sonya Moody; three step-children, Mr. & Mrs. April (Daryl) Lewis, Mr. Wayne Steward and Mr. Tony Callaway; mother, Mrs. Christine Bolden; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, along with a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
