Location Codicote is a large village/historic settlement located on the B656 Hitchin to Welwyn road. It is 1½ miles to the north west of Welwyn, where access can be gained to the A1(M) trunk road. Welwyn Garden City, some 3 miles distant, has a mainline station on the London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Line.
