Next Step Even though the thought of death is not something we talk much about, it is a reality that must be faced…you and I WILL die sooner or later. That being said, do you know beyond a shadow of doubt that when you die, you will spend eternity in heaven? Or do you hope you will, or believe that no one can know for sure where they will spend eternity? What do you base your answer on?

The Bible really is clear about your eternity…you can KNOW, not hope or play the odds of getting into heaven. The key is basing your hope in what the Bible says, not in anything else. 1 John 5:13 (The Message Paraphrase) “My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion.” Hebrews 9:26-28 “…But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” Ephes. 2:8-9 (The Message Paraphrase) “Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! 9We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing!” Please note: If you have any fears/uncertainty about your eternity, please email me and let’s address this very important issue ([email protected]); ignoring or postponing that discussion is NOT a wise decision. Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” All people need to personally know Jesus…your friends need Jesus! How will they hear unless someone shares Jesus with them? Romans 10:13-15 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Begin to pray daily that you would have the privilege of bringing great news to your friends who don’t know Jesus. Pray for spiritual conversations to naturally happen and for you to be ready to point them to Jesus.
