London Underground communication campaigns A series of internal communication campaigns designed to engage staff and management with a fresh, new style of messaging which cut through the corporate clutter.

London Underground communication campaigns London Underground needed a new way of talking to its employees that inspired renewed pride in the company and created clearer lines of communication between management and staff. As part of a small creative team, Judy developed concepts and copy for a series of campaigns spanning diverse media channels, using a direct and accessible tone of voice to capture the company’s culture and values.

In one campaign to support the Jubilee Line, posters and ambient media pieces were accompanied by an award-winning training DVD, a narrated animation following the journey of a train driver to help staff cope better with working shifts. An interactive CD Rom guide was also created for all London Underground staff, explaining the functions, features and benefits of the new Oyster Card Capping System.

Other notable work included the development of a theme, content outline and print collateral for the company’s annual business meeting, articles for an internal staff magazine and a poster campaign to improve passenger safety. On the strength of these and other projects, Imagination was appointed as consultant to London Underground’s Employee Communications team.
