Bursaries & Scholarships:

Make remarkable things happen...

Make a gift that will keep on giving.

Firstly, a HUGE

THANK YOU to everyone who gave to the KGS Foundation last year...

It costs around £150,000 to educate a KGS pupil from first year to Upper Sixth.

Our aim is to provide as many

100% bursaries as possible. For many of our parents, a 10–50% reduction on fees is not enough for them to accept a place with us.

Help us to widen access to KGS and maintain a meritocracy in our admissions, regardless of family background.

ne o d e v ’ e w t a h Look w help... with your

Last year, we offered

39 bursaries and scholarships

Unfortunately we cannot offer help to all who apply. We can only do this through your generosity. Please consider taking a call from one of our pupils, sharing your KGS experience with them and enabling another child to benefit for the rest of their lives.

We completed the

Ditton Field redevelopment on time and in budget. The new astro pitch has facilitated more coaching, wider access to groups such as OKHC and is a real boost for our sports program.

A GIFT OF EDUCATION is priceless... KGS proudly invested £462,000 in scholarships and £400,000 in bursaries for 39 pupils, ranging from 20% to 100% of their fees throughout their entire KGS education. We’d like to do more and can only do this through the help of our kind donors.

Perhaps you attended school for free or have received financial assistance whilst at KGS? Perhaps you might think of supporting the next generation to succeed? Thanks to a great KGS foundation our OKs benefit for the Chris Carnegy (OK 1980) is the BBC’s rest of their lives.

Meet one of our donors...

We want to be able to offer more financial assistance to those great young minds who are keen to learn with us, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Admissions are a meritocracy and currently we have far more applications for bursaries and scholarships than we are able to support. We know that the gift of education can change lives and with many OKs, parents, corporates and friends donating, we can collectively make a real difference to these children’s futures.

Chris

editor for local TV. He’s a regular donor to the School and he has also included KGS in his will: “There aren’t many experiences that can change the course of your life in quite the way that your schooldays can. For me, KGS brought so many opportunities, including many outside the classroom, that broadened my horizons and helped me find my way ahead. For me it seemed natural to want to help someone else to have the same life chances. The Bursary Fund enables young people from every background can benefit from the KGS experience. Part of its beauty is that you’ll only ever be able to imagine the potential it might unleash.”

Together, Old Kingstonians are helping to change lives, to educate through bursaries and to create a stronger, inspired school for the future. Help us continue to nurture those who go out into the world and make things happen. Whether you choose to make a monthly, quarterly, annual or single gift, every donation is greatly appreciated and you can decide which area you’d like to direct it to, so it’s an investment in KGS that reflects you, your affiliation to us and what matters most to you.
