Marketing Strategy & Brand Development Describe plans for recruiting students to GGA. Some initial ideas: A. Solidification of our brand strategy a. Plan to improve reputation among the SDA community b. Plan to create brand awareness among the nonSDA community B. Develop initial outreach materials and brand template C. Plans for communicating with families, organizations and local leaders about the school, with particular attention to communicating with hard-to-reach communities and neighborhoods D. Description of your student recruitment plans and policies, with particular attention to how you will recruit a representative sample of the geographic area you will serve E. Description of your proposed enrollment and admissions policies, including timelines. F. Create our proposed enrollment and admission forms.

Staff Recruitment Describe plans for recruiting and training staff. Some initial ideas: A. The staffing plan, including types and number of employees and efforts to recruit staff members who reflective of the diversity we are seeking B. Job descriptions for all school staff, including administrators, teachers, and aides C. Organization chart D. Recruitment plans and policies for administrators, teachers, and aides. Address how these plans will reflect the diverse needs of the local community E. Plans and policies for providing key staff with feedback of their performance F. Plans and policies for continually improving the performance of staff G. Plans to outsource any key functions (e.g., payroll, food service, nursing, counseling, special education, etc.)

Governance and Management Structure Describe how the school will be governed and managed. Some initial ideas: A. Form of business organization for fundraising (e.g., NCC vs. independent non-profit) B. Description of any proposed or existing relationships with educational management organizations (NCC Board of Education, Pacific Union, General Conference, WASC, etc.) C. Description of any proposed or existing contracts for business, operational or instructional services D. Plans for developing the board, including representation of local constituencies, areas of expertise, and fundraising capacity. E. Division of responsibilities between governing board and administrators F. Describe the board plan for oversight, key priorities and goals, and how the board will hold the school accountable to meeting financial and academic goals.

Educational Program Design Describe plans for achieving instructional excellence at GGA. Some initial ideas: A. Proposed student goals and outcomes B. Achievement standards for key academic areas C. Chosen curriculum with description of its relationship to standards D. Mechanisms for periodically assessing progress towards goals, outcomes and achievement standards E. Methods for addressing students whose baseline aptitude, performance, and prior school experience are below standard F. Methods for assessing instructional practice and informing teachers of areas that need improvement

Subcommittee Outlines (Starting Points) G. Construction of a rigorous professional development plan H. School calendar and daily schedule I. Plans for extended day (or extended year?)

Data Management Plan Describe how we will use data to track student progress and our plans for managing student and other school data to: A. Comply with reporting requirements of the Board of Education, relevant government/accrediting agencies and private supporters B. Operate key school functions efficiently C. Improve the operational and financial management of the school D. Improve instruction and achievement

School Culture & Climate Describe the vision for the school culture and climate, and a strategy for developing it among students, teachers/staff, and the supporting community. Some initial ideas: A. Develop a set of activities that support that the desired school culture. B. Develop a robust parent engagement strategy. C. Develop a plan to include families that are highly encumbered by time, finances, etc. D. Develop an engagement strategy for the SDA community. Include both SDAs with students enrolled and those without children on campus. E. Develop an engagement strategy for the non-SDA community.

Facilities Plan Describe plans for locating and developing school facilities. Some initial ideas: A. Detailed explanation of space needs over the next five years B. Detailed explanation of technology, furnishings and equipment needs C. Explanation of facility options available to us and potential costs of each D. Plans for financing and completing renovations and upgrades

Fiscal Responsibility Describe the financial management plan. Some initial ideas: a. Roles and responsibilities b. Describe how we will incorporate financial data collection (Data Management) c. Description of appropriate financial reports d. Description of how and when financial reports will be distributed and evaluated

Community Partnerships Describe and identify community partnerships that will offer an educational/professional pipeline, financial support, student internship opportunities, staff development and/or other resources.
